Architects and interior designers commonly implement attractive office décor in many forms for the commercial work space.  Windows, flooring, furniture, and artwork are often chosen to produce a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.  Facilities with a more prestigious look are likely to have custom painting, wallpaper, custom shelving, and numerous other effects.

The ceiling and lighting installations however, are very often designed to meet the requirements while saving on installation and operating costs.   Adding unique qualities or character to the overall room décor is often lower on the priority list.  We are specifically making reference to the popular suspended ceiling and accompanying fluorescent lighting troffers.  Fluorescent lighting is unmatched with regards to overall cost and efficiency.  And since builders are in the business of providing ample and affordable lighting, nearly every square foot of space is lit to the minimum required lighting levels using these fluorescent lights.  Taking a closer look, this uniform level and quality of light may not be optimum or desirable for a business, or all who work there.  Lighting preferences vary greatly among individuals.  Until now, the most popular methods of modifying the light to reduce excess glare, are removing bulbs from the fixtures, or simply leaving the lights off.

At Fluorescent Gallery, we believe there is an opportunity to utilize this light fixture to add something to your workspace.  By transforming the ‘generic’ light into something that more closely resembles the type of lighting you would use in your home, the excess light becomes a decorative component of your office or environment.    Reduce the glare on your computer monitor with an artistic effect that resembles stained glass, or other decorative art style.   If you work in an office cubicle, make it feel like your family room.  Students in dorm rooms, why not have the coolest lighting of any room on the floor?   The fixture is already there, and installing our artwork could not be easier.
