Panel Brightnessi
Lightness-Darkness
The Panel Brightness rating assigned to each design is based on the average luminosity (0-Black to 255-White) of the digital artwork file. It can be used as a guideline to predict artwork light reduction of one design compared to another.
Average Luminosity (0-255) | Assigned Brightness Number | |
---|---|---|
Darkest | 1 – 139 | 1 |
Dark | 140 – 169 | 2 |
Medium | 170 – 199 | 3 |
Light | 200 – 219 | 4 |
Lightest | 220 – 255 | 5 |
Panel Brightness Examples:
#5: Best designs for kitchens, bathrooms, and other rooms requiring the brightest light.
#4: Good designs for kitchens and bathrooms or in rooms where high light throughput is desired.
#3: Good for most lighting locations. Can work for kitchens in conjunction with a lot of other light sources (i.e., windows or canned lights).
#2: Not as dark as #1. Requires some task lighting in the room. Used commonly in treatment rooms.
#1: This design selection is for ambient lighting only with several other light sources for tasks.

I needed about a 52" x 34" diffuser.
There was a divider previously that I took down.
So I wanted to replace with a single panel.
But the shipping for the large panel, and thicker material, was too crazy for me
So I went with two half-size panels with a bit thinner material, and put the divider back up.
Because of that, I specified the numbers backwards.
I wanted the wheat 'grain' going the other way.
But now that it's all back in place, I actually like it better the way I got it.
And looks so much better than what it would be like with standard white diffuser panels from the big box stores.
I had just replaced the 3 x 4' bulbs with color selectable LED bulbs (3500/4000/5000.)
The combo looks great, and a definite upgrade from a standard white diffuser panel.
An expensive option compared to just using big box generic white diffuser panels.
But I was actually thinking of replacing the whole fixture with something else, and that would have been a pain, and cost even more. Adding in these panels, I now like the current fixture now that way it all works. So on to the next project now. This one is done.

[Almond] This is the second set of panels we've bought and we're very pleased with them. They are a little pricey but to replace our fixture with today's prices would be very expensive also.

Installed like a glove. We picked the right pattern and luminosity level to match our newly painted light box and kitchen cabinets.
I would recommend this product!

The panels were great. They fit perfectly. The price was a little high and delivery took a long time.

Ours was a custom order. We needed a 4x4 panel [wheat] and could not be happier with the ordering process, the proactive customer service and quality product we received. Would recommend this company to anyone and will use them in the future if the need arises.

We ordered the Windblown panels in the Thatch color for our home. Received them today and they fit perfectly and meet our expectations. We will definitely purchase from this company again if we should need more panels. Good online shopping experience!

A bit overpriced in our opinion considering we bought the cheapest version. They are nice panels so just the cost is what dropped this review to 4 stars. Customer service was fair and patient while working with us over the holidays. As far as the panels, the Almond is almost too translucent for the level of brightness our LED lighting system gives off but is a pleasant pattern.

We ordered a special size one piece panel. It fit perfectly and looks amazing

This panel [Almond] looks great. I was hoping a [Panel Brightness] rating of 4 would be lighter but I am happy nonetheless.
